About Virginie Avrillon Dunne

Having always been drawn to lighting, especially the magical relationship that light and shade have together, Virginie decided to pursue this passion and start a second career as a lighting designer. Gaining her professional qualifications in lighting design with success in 2013, she founded Splash of Light thereafter, focusing mainly in residential lighting.

”I love to use lighting to reveal the beauty of the architecture. I believe that lighting , when used correctly, is this special element which allows all the other aspects of the interior design- the colour, texture, art and soft furnishing- to simply come to life. I pride myself in listening carefully to my client’s needs and then to translate their lighting vision into a clear, comprehensive lighting design scheme which greatly enhance the ambiance of the living spaces.”

Virginie values the importance of working closely with the architect, interior designer and electrical contractors for the success of the scheme. Since starting Splash of Light, she have gone on to work on some amazing and varied residential projects, big and small, in south west London.
